Gordon W. Sharek
Gordon Sharek, Q.C. is a founding partner of Sharek&Co. and serves as lead partner in the Litigation and Public Sector service groups.
Mr. Sharek’s extensive litigation, government and business related practice includes more than 25 years of advising Governments of all levels, advice to and litigation on behalf of major corporations, advice to insurance clients and Reciprocal Insurance Exchanges on both property and injury claims, and major loss litigation including contractual and fire related matters. His practice also includes construction and employment related litigation, and he has extensive experience in municipal taxation matters including equalized assessments and linear property issues. As well, Mr. Sharek has experience in other major litigation including professional liability, personal injury, and class action matters.
Mr. Sharek obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta in 1977, and was admitted to the Alberta bar in 1978. He obtained his Queen’s Counsel designation in 2000.
Mr. Sharek lives in Edmonton with his wife Dr. Christine Sharek and their three daughters.
